Common terms you see across Calibration Vault and audits.
- Calibration certificate
- Document with calibration results, timestamps, and lab details.
- Instrument
- A tracked asset with fields such as type and next due date.
- Asset ID
- Unique identifier your organisation assigns to an instrument.
- Traceability
- Proof that results link through an unbroken chain back to reference standards.
- Accreditation
- Recognition of a lab's competence (for example UKAS or DAkkS).
- Next due / expiry
- Date after which a certificate is treated as outdated.
- Measurement uncertainty
- Parameter describing the dispersion of measurement values.
- Audit Pack
- Summary PDF plus optional ZIP with certificates for auditors.
- Version
- Stored revision of a certificate file linked to an instrument.
- Blast radius
- The set of potentially affected uses since the last known in-tolerance state, combining usage logs and manual evidence across the assessment window.
- Sticky context
- A convenience feature that remembers the last job reference an operator logged, allowing one-tap confirmation on the next scan within 4 hours.
- Trust level
- Classification of a QR scan's authenticity: signed (HMAC-verified, tamper-proof), unsigned (basic link), or authenticated (logged-in user).
